Hey everyone, my family was featured in the March issue of Our Town Magazine, the West Cobb area's family lifestyle magazine.  We were fortunate enough to be selected as the cover story, which I have to admit is pretty cool!

We all have our beginnings and you can check out some of mine here. Before I begin a painting, I typically draw out a few sketches to help get the creative juices flowing. Practically all of my paintings begin with a sketch, and here are some of my most developed sketches. I typically sketch around 300-500 pieces per year and produce about 300 finished oil works.

Local artists put their talents toward helping students with special needs Wednesday, feb 12th, in northeast Atlanta and that's where FOX 5's Stacey Elgin checked out all the details at Worthmore Jewelry.

Recently we were lucky enough to host the opening at the Vinings Gallery in Atlanta GA.  It was a fantastic gallery that's truly dedicated to bringing in and displaying the work of world class artists. If you check out the slideshow below, you'll see a beautifully expansive gallery with tons of great pieces!  I loved the mural in the floor!

It was especially fun because we gave a painting demonstration to the guests at the grand opening.  Sharing my passion for painting was great, and many of the guests enjoyed watching one of my paintings come to life.

I first set eyes on the work of Sergey Cherep in December 2001. My husband Paul and I were enjoying an evening out in the nearby town of Warwick, when we spotted a vibrant and captivating oil painting in the window of a local gallery.

Unbeknown to me, Paul returned to the gallery the following day intending to buy the painting for my birthday, but with a price tag of nearly £2000 ($3127) it was at that time far out of our reach.

The following year I was lucky enough to win a car in a competition, and after selling it we decided to invest some of the money raised in artwork. Returning to the gallery in Warwick to enquire if they might have any other pieces from the artist whose work we had so admired, we were surprised to learn that the piece in question – ‘Sunflowers’ by Sergey Cherep – had been loaned to a local restaurant, where it was still hanging on the wall.

Recently my family was able to take a trip to Vegas and we took some fantastic pictures. It was an amazing trip but the best part was to be together as a family...we all really enjoyed it.

We took some amazing pictures of clouds while we were on the road. Really inspiring stuff! Unfortunately one of the tires went flat but we were able to get it fixed and get on to the art show. The show went well and we got to hang out as a family. Perfecto!!

Check out the slideshow below from one of my favority charity works.  We raised over $1000 for the Milwaukee Zoo!  It was a fantastic event.

Over the years I've been lucky enough to have some restaurants, wineries and other organizations display my artwork at their place of business. It's always an exciting experience when a painting is chosen by a company or organization, and Il ove watching it go up on the wall!

I was lucky enough to be involved in some charity work in 2001 with the city of Las Vegas. The Mayor, Oscar B. Goodman, and I painted a cow together and then aprons and shirts with a picture of the cow were sold to raise money to help kids. It was truly an amazing experience./p>
